For the past four years, the Cape Town chapter of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) has hosted the Cape Seal Rally in Hermanus in order to raise funds for the Hermanus Night Shelter (HANSA).

On Sunday 2 February, the chapter made their way to Hermanus to announce the final amount and to hand over the cheque. They managed to raise a whopping R50 000 (R45 000 cash and two water storage tanks worth R5 000) for the shelter. This is R10 000 more than last year. Planning for the 2020 rally has already commenced and promises to be even bigger and better than last year.

HOG and HANSA would especially like to thank Overstrand Municipality, Windsor Hotel and their patron Penny Streeter (owner of Benguela Cove) for their support over the past four years. They would also like to thank Rotary and all the local businesses and individuals who were involved, such as Harbour House Hotel who ensured the ablution facilities stayed clean during the rally at their own expense and the vendors.
