Today (Friday, 4 January) was an exciting day for matrics across the Overberg as they received their final NSC (National Senior Certificate) results.

For many of the learners and their parents it was an emotional day as it officially marked the end of their high school careers and the start of many new opportunities and adventures.

Even though the Western Cape only placed third in SA this year (with the Free State second and Gauteng first), the level of the Overberg’s results remained high.

Hermanus High School did exceptionally well and boasts a total of 19 A-candidates (over 80%) and 33 B-candidates with a 99.4% pass rate. The school also placed in the top twenty for the best public schools in the Western Cape.

Congratulations to all the students! May you have a good year ahead of you.
